My name is Zoey Dutcher, I am a Senior English Secondary Education major at Kansas State University. I created this digital humanities project for Gothic Literature in the hopes that it would help others reading this text. The intricacies of Matilda's character and the implications of her subversion of traditional Gothic gender norms are of great importance to the story, and of great interest to me. I hope that this resource helps others to disentangle the enigma that is Matilda!
